TZITZIT WRAPS INFO
The Sephardic Tzitzit are made with the shammash spiraling the cords with four sets of wraps separated by double knots in a numerical 10-5-6-5 tie pattern. The numerical value of the Set-Apart Name of El YAH. Ten (10) being the first letter Yod, Five (5) the second letter Hay, Six (6) the third letter Vav, and then again Five (5) wraps is the last letter Hay.

The Ashkenaz Style Tzitzit have a numerical value. On each tzitzit there are 39 windings; the 7, 8, 11, and 13 separated by double knots. The total of the first three is 26, the numerical value of the Set-Apart Name of El YAH. Ten (10) being the first letter Yod, Five (5) the second letter Hay, Six (6) the third letter Vav, and then again Five (5) wraps is the last letter Hay. The final number, 13, is the numerical value of Echad (one). It is said that to look at the tzitzit is to always be reminded that El YAH is One.
