Hyssop Body Wash Ingredients: Saponified Oils of Coconut, Soybean, Castor, Goat Milk, Water, Shea Butter, Hyssop Infussion and Hyssop Essential Oil.

Hyssop Soap Bar Ingredients: Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Castor Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerine (kosher, of vegetable origin), Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (from berries, moisturizer), Sorbitan oleate (emulsifier), Soybean protein (conditioner), Hyssopus Officinalis and Hyssop Essential Oil.

History and Origin of Hyssop Oil

The Hyssop Essential Oil is extracted from the Hyssopus Officinalis shrub. This plant is about 2 ft high with small blue flowers that are borne on the upper part of the branches during summer and are very attractive to bees. It is often planted as a companion to cabbage (deters the cabbage moth) and grapes. An essential oil made from Hyssop increases alertness and is a gently relaxing nerve tonic suitable for treating nervous exhaustion, overwork, anxiety and depression. Hyssop is anticatarrh (the symptom is usually associated with the common cold), anti-asthmatic and anti-inflammatory on the pulmonary system.It liquefies mucus and relieves bronchial spasms. Is effective for treating colds, sore throats and bronchitis. Helps to raise low blood pressure. Relieves stomach cramps, expels winds and has traditionally been used to eliminate worms. Relieves menstrual problems associated with water retention during periods. Is Antispasmodic, cicatrisant, emmenagogue, expectorant and sudorific. The diluted essential oil has also been used to treat herpes lesions & scars. Topical applications of this herb have include use as a gargle for sore throat, as a poultice or compress for bruises, sprains, wounds, & insect bites, as a bath herb for rheumatism, and as a salve or chest rub for congestion.The name Hyssopus was used by Hippocrates and was derived from the HEBREW word 'ezob' which means "Holy Herb" as it was once used in purifying places of worship. It is mentioned several times in the Old Testament (Torah and Tenak), where it is used for purification and cleansing. In 17th century Europe, it was used as a strewing herb to be walked upon, and to deter the spread of infection.

With the references to Hyssop and Cedarwood in the Torah we see the use of Hyssop and Cedarwood in the ritual cleansing using the ashes of the RED HEIFER, both are in these ashes.
